I recently returned to the campus of Stanford University for the H&S IT team Fall Residency Week.
My manager blessed me with the book Unstoppable: The Unlikely Story of a Silicon Valley Godfather by Roy L. Clay Sr. that she picked up at an event that his son hosted on campus a few weeks before.
During residency weeks we use the time to reflect, plan, strategize, and prepare for the upcoming year while making time for in-person connections and team building.
We had a team dinner at Rangoon Ruby Burmese Cuisine in downtown Palo Alto, a night at Top Golf in San Jose, and a tour of the Stanford Home of Champions.
I also attended the 24-25 Tanner Lecture seminar titled We Are Called To Be A Movement given by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber III.
